Highland Resident Jason Buck to Run for Congress

According to KSL.com  Jason Buck will run for congressional office in 2012.

The former BYU Cougar played on the defensive line from 1985-1986, being named the WAC player of the year in 1985 and winning the Outland Trophy in 1986.

The Cincinnati Bengals drafted Buck in the first round of the 1987 NFL draft. One year after moving to the Washington Redskins in 1991, he helped them to a victory in Super Bowl XXVI.

Buck retired after the 1993 season.

"I know what it's like to get knocked down and get back up again," said Buck, referencing his childhood on a farm and his athletic past. "Utah deserves a representative who will fight for them and stand strong for their liberty and security."
